U.S. Paid Native Americans $1 Billion For Stealing Their Land

The United States government dished out $1 billion to the Native American people for taking over their land. 56 million acres to be exact. The attorney general said the settlement was fair and honorable. The Navajo Nation alone will receive $554 million from the Obama administration as of May 29, 2014. This settlement was for mismanaged funds by the U.S. government.
